Cage Titans returns to Plymouth Memorial Hall on September 23 rd for Cage Titans 61, and this time it’s international business.
Two belts are on the line as Heavyweight champion Ras Hylton looks to simultaneously avenge a loss and defend his belt when he takes on Jashua Marsh in a gigantic rematch in the co-main, all headlined when the lightweight champion Joe Giannetti puts his belt on the line against Canadian contender Michael Dufort in the main event.
The hockey rivalry dating back to the days of the original 6 comes to life at Memorial Hall when the Cage Titans lightweight strap goes up for grabs in the Main Event. Michael Dufort, 11-4 (8 SUB, 2 KO) made an impression on the Plymouth crowd when he visited for a face off in July, donning his Montreal Canadiens jersey to the ever so loyal Boston Bruins fans at Memorial Hall, fully embracing his role as the
travelling heel with the goal in mind to take the Cage Titans lightweight strap back to his home country of Canada, becoming the first international Cage Titans champion. He has already shown he is comfortable in enemy territory and looks to show the crowd he is not only coming for a ruse, but to be the man to take the gold from the defending champion.

Toad the Wet Sprocket is still making new music and touring with the same spirit of unwavering independence that started it all over three decades ago.
The band is thankful for the continued help and enthusiastic support of their fans, which helped spur the release of All You Want and also serves as inspiration for the band to not only tour and play live, but to continue to make new original music together. They continue to support their most recent release, Starting Now (2021), as well as their previous album New Constellation (2013), and EP The Architect of Ruin (2015). Toad the Wet Sprocket share in the kind of musical chemistry that can only come from meeting in high school and writing, recording, and touring on albums over the course of time. After Bread & Circus, they followed with Pale in 1990, fear in ’91, Dulcinea in 1994, and Coil in 1997, as well as some compilations along the way. While most will still feel the comforting familiarity of the Billboard-charting hits, “Walk on the Ocean”, “All I Want”, “Something’s Always Wrong”, and “Fall Down”, fans will also be well familiar with tracks with lyrics that resonate for so many life milestones like “The Moment”, “I Will Not Take These Things for Granted”, “Transient Whales” and so many more.

A season finale should leave you wanting more. So should the season opener. Our 108th season starts with a three-minute musical fireball and two heart-warming, heart-wrenching, hope-against-hope masterpieces that always leave us wanting more! The musician’s choice: a suite from Romeo and Juliet, the centuries-old tale of feuding families and star-crossed lovers set to Prokofiev’s orchestral brilliance. The director’s choice: Ellis Island: The Dream of America, one of the most performed American classical works in the last 20 years. Period. It was nominated for a Grammy and turned into a PBS Great Performance. The dream unfolds as actors Marianne Leone and Ed Hoopman, accompanied by the orchestra, recount the true-life stories of seven immigrants from seven countries who passed through this iconic portal in search of something more. It’s powerful. Emotional. Perhaps even familiar. And best when shared and experienced LIVE!

The combined harmonies and original songs of Graham Russell & Russell Hitchcock took the music charts by storm in the 1970s and 80s, blazing an unprecedented path of live shows in parts of the world previously unknown to pop music. Their hits “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” “The One That You Love,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” each achieved multi-million plays on the radio. Now, forty-five years after their formation, Air Supply is showing no signs that their supply is running low any time soon, as they continue to release new material and delight audiences wherever they go.

The Phil is honored to participate in America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration. The weekend of festivities has become a beloved holiday occasion as well as an important link to our nation’s history and heritage.
If there was a Billboard Classical Music Chart in 1717, Water Music would have topped it. Handel composed the spirited piece for a showy trip up the Thames aboard the royal barge. King George loved it and had the musicians play it not once, not twice, but three times again. Not so for Pachelbel’s Canon & Gigue. It was a bit of a sleeper. Although composed in the 1600s, it wasn’t published or recorded until the 20th century. Since then, this pleasing piece has worked its way up the charts and into pop songs, films, advertising (and more than a wedding or two) to become one of the most widely performed Baroque compositions ever. Like Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos: six sumptuous instrumental works by the musical genius. No. 2 makes our top three. It’s a trumpet tour de force with heavenly combinations for flute, oboe, and violin, too. Out of this world—literally! In 1977, NASA sent the Voyager 1 space probe into deep space with a small Gold Record aboard. The opening music track is the first movement of this concerto, a joyful document of humanity. A timeless musical greeting, indeed.
